IT’S COMING

The last few days have been really notable for big fish. We have seen a good number of fish over 100cms and many in the 80s and 90s. We have started to catch the odd grilse but the bulk of fish are multi sea winter fish and utterly stunning.

Iain K had an absolutely gem of a fish. He’d fished down beyond the hot spot in theory and was just thinking of reeling in and then wham. A savage take.

The lower part of the river has also shown good numbers of fish landed and lost and we are getting excited with the way things are picking up. It’s easy to see how so many people fall in love with this river and the wonderful hospitality of the lodge.

Today the sun came out and the valley showed it’s beauty. The little rise in air temperature had a good effect on catches and we had 2 first Atlantic Salmon for the group.

Everything is pointing towards an exciting month ahead as things build. Watch this space.
